Users can quickly identify documents based on the assigned Visual Cues so they can quickly locate the exact document that they need to access. Visual Cues within MechWorks PDM are very flexible, allowing the administrator to configure different Visual Cue parameters which allow the user to quickly jump between displaying one Visual Cue parameter vs. another. Perhaps the user is interested in quickly identifying the documents associated with specific machine lines. Perhaps the user is interested in quickly identifying the documents based off from their material assignments. Perhaps the user is interested in quickly identifying which records are defined for “spare parts”. Visual Cues provide a quick graphical representation, allowing the users to expedite their decision making process.
